"To provide high quality PE and sport provision to enrich the lives of all young people"

PROGRAMMES

Smart Moves

Smart Moves is a motor skills development and intervention programme for EYFS and KS1.

The programme consists of three parts:

  • A screening session, to assist in the early identification of children in need of physical intervention, through a series of tasks
  • Weekly sessions for the identified pupils using an extensive activity bank related to each of the PE curriculum areas. These activities can be differentiated according to the ability of the child, allowing the children to develop key physical skills at their own pace.
  • Assessments after session 9 and 18

The school will retain the Smart Moves learning resources.

Sports Leadership Training

A full day of Sports Leader Training for Y5-6 pupils. This programme will develop young leaders and prepare them to lead and deliver lunchtime activities, enhancing your lunchtime provision and culture.

Pupils will complete a workbook throughout the day and put theory in to practice as they set up their own activities as part of a sample session.

Strong Girls Can

Strong Girls Can is an interactive, motivating and inspiring workshop packed with fun and empowering activities aimed at increasing awareness of self, pumping up confidence and self-esteem, learning how to cope with friends and peer groups, raising aspirations and improving body image. Led by strong female role models from all walks of life, Strong Girls Can will let young women start to look at themselves and explain why they should spend less time trying to be the person society tells them to be and more time allowing their own personality to shine through.
