For learners who have previously completed the 6 hour EFAW course and need to renew their qualification.
This refresher course meets HSE guidelines and the requirements of the First Aid at Work Regulations. The course runs over a minimum of 3 contact hours and the certificate is valid for three years.
Accepted in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and in many other countries.
Course content includes:
- Role and responsibilities of a first aider
- Initial safety and casualty care
- Unconscious casualty (adult, child and infant)
- AED instruction
- Choking
- Bleeding control
- Heart attack
- Diabetes
- Epilepsy
- Fractures, sprains and strains
- Shock
- Minor injuries
